Create a New Recurring Matter Template

Click to edit heading

You can create a recurring matter template where repetitive data is entered on a regular basis. For example, you may be acting for a property developer who is selling multiple properties within a sub-division or estate. For a matter like this, you would have a lot of repetitive data such as the property information and agent's details. You can also include standard letters, documents, critical dates and tasks that are frequently used.

Click the LEAP Menu > Home > under Matters > Recurring Matter Templates.

The Recurring Matter Template List will open.
Click New.
Enter a name for the new Recurring Matter Template.
Click OK.
Enter the matter details for the Recurring Matter Template as you would when creating a new matter. This can include attributes such as restricting the matter to certain users.
You can add standard letters/documents or templates to the Recurring Matter Template, if required.

Click on the New Document or Forms & Templates button to select the relevant documents you would like to add.

These will be added to the matter's Correspondence List ready for use after matter creation. Documents added to the Recurring Matter Template will display as Pending until modified.

You can also add a specific folder structure to the Recurring Matter Template.
Click Save & Close.

Enter the Subject.
Select who it will be Assigned To.
(Optional) Click to find and select a Template.
(Optional) Set a Due Date from the matter creation date.
Click OK.
