All matter types in LEAP are pre-configured based on the area of law that you select.

When you create a new matter and select your matter type, it populates a set of card tables and data entry tables (“layouts”) that capture the information that is required for that particular matter.

All of the LEAP Forms are designed around this information being filled out in full in your matters.

The forms are automated with either simple fields which are just bringing in a name or address, or it could be that the form is designed to show a whole paragraph of information based on one field in a layout being filled out in your LEAP matter.

For example, in a Divorce matter, you select the Grounds under Divorce details, which is one field by selecting from a drop-down menu.

When you create the Complaint for Divorce (with Children), based on the selection made for the Grounds, it populates the appropriate paragraph to insert into the document. We can see that the Irreconcilable Differences ground we selected in Divorce Details is in the Complaint as paragraph 5.

 The Matter AI Layout filler helps you populate fields within tables using information from the Correspondence saved within the matter.

When entering data into a table, such as Property or Contract details, you can click the "Populate from Correspondence" button. This prompts the AI to scan all correspondence items within the matter and automatically fill in any relevant fields.

• Once the fields have been populated, you can review the suggested content and Accept All or Reject All populated results or approve individual fields as required by clicking  or   .
• If there is no data, the field will remain blank.
• Where you see a Document icon  in the field, you can hover over it to view the source of the data. 

This is why it is so important that you fill out as much information as possible on all of your matters in LEAP. Whether this is when you first create the matter, or as you gain the information throughout the duration of the matter.

If you create a form and find that there is some information is not completed on the form, the first thing you should do is check that you have completed all information within the cards and layouts on your matter in LEAP.
