New Outlook for desktop and LEAP integration not working

Hello - I was reading recently that the desktop app for Outlook is going away and Microsoft will be "forcing" everyone to switch to the "new Outlook" on desktop. When I tried the new Outlook and added the LEAP sidebar, I am unable to save emails to matters. I keep getting an error saying that an error occurred and I need to log out and log back in. When I do that, I get the same error every time I try it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Have you found a fix or work around? This is for the desktop application of Outlook, not the online 365, but I am also interested to see if people are using online 365 outlook how LEAP is integrated and working with that.

    New Outlook is optional for now and should be for some time still. For now, the LEAP add-in is unavailable with New Outlook. As our development team is actively working on integrating the LEAP add-in with New Outlook, we recommend switching back to Outlook Classic.

     

    Regarding the functionality of Outlook 365, you can absolutely save your emails just as you would on the desktop app. For detailed instructions, please refer to our article Saving and Re-saving Emails to a Matter.

      Hi , is there any update on this? it's been 5 months but still cannot use LEAP in new outlook.

        There's no update on this. I've asked a few times now over over the past few months and the representative's answer is always no or they're not sure when LEAP will be compatible with the new Outlook.

      Just want to chime in here to say that my Outlook will not allow me to downgrade back to the old Outlook. I am stuck with new Outlook and no way to integrate with LEAP.

        Same. It's incredibly frustrating and limits many of the benefits of LEAP for me, including sending documents securely to clients.

    Any update on when LEAP will be integrated with the new outlook? I only switched to outlook because of the integration, so really hoping it will work when I am forced to switch to the new one. For now, I am fine keeping the old outlook, but I know there will be a day when that is not an option.
