Trust to receivables transfer function

Ronald Gaynor (Customer) asked a question.

Trust to receivables transfer function

Why might the bottom part of the form refuse to accept any data? I'm trying to pay a single invoice. The matter has plenty on trust. I'm not sure I understand the trust funds and the batch no. business. When I click save it says I have to enter an amount, but the apply column won't let me enter anything.

Thanks

  • Thank you for contacting us on the LEAP community page.

We recommend checking to see if the trust deposits are cleared , or require a bank deposit. You can open the trust deposit and click on the three dots at the top right of the deposit screen and see if cleared is checked off.

If you need further assistance please open a chat by clicking on the orange chat bubble at the bottom right.

Okay Jason. Thanks, that was the answer. And it raises a follow up: must I go through the bank deposit function, or check 'cleared' in LEAP to 'book' receipts into fees and retainers for any purposes in LEAP? I had just been receiving payments to the matter and relying on Quickbooks sync to see them in the bank acount.

      Thanks

    • How long do we have to wait for a check to clear in order to do a trust to receivables transfer?
