From the LEAP Matter List, click the LEAP Menu > Marketplace.

The LEAP Marketplace will open in a new window.

From the All Apps section, select Client Connect.

Click Enable.

Client Connect is currently available for Estate Planning, Estate Administration & Probate, and Family Law matter types in all states.

From your matter, click the Request Details button from the Details & Correspondence screen.

Select the relevant form for the information that you are looking to obtain.

Select which contact from this matter to send the request to (usually your client).

Choose whether to enter a customized Subject and Message. This information will appear in the resulting LawConnect email, as well as the LawConnect activity feed. 

From the Customize Request tab you may choose to toggle off any unnecessary tables.

If present, the Client Instructions tab will allow you to customize the initial page presented to the client when opening the request. Make any edits required.

View the Preview tab to review the information that will be presented to the recipient.

Click Send Request to send a LawConnect email to the recipient.

You will be returned to the Client Connect home page and the new share will have a status of Request Sent.

Where a request has been made but not completed, it can be reviewed by clicking Request Details from the matter and opening the request with a Request Sent status.

This will open to the Preview screen, displaying what the recipient will see when they are entering information.

Additional information is available on the Details and History tabs, which provide a summary of the request and a chronology of activity respectively.

If a change needs to be made to the request, click Edit Request to make adjustments. This will allow you to alter the receipient, the “From” contact and, where relevant, customize the request sections and client instructions. 

A reminder email can be triggered from this screen by selecting the Send Reminder button. You may choose to customize the subject line and message of the email, then click Send Reminder to generate and send the email message.

An overall view of all requests is available from the Menu screen accessed from the LEAP Matter List in the LawConnect section with a label of View All Requests.

By default, this will show all requests that are neither Saved nor Revoked. Additional filters are available for the staff member who sent the request, the status, date or to search for a keyword. Apply any filters needed.

Click any request to open it.

Once information has been requested, an email is sent to the recipient containing a LawConnect link. Clicking this will open LawConnect in a web browser or mobile app.

Depending on whether the user has an existing LawConnect account, they will be prompted to Sign Up or Sign In, or to sign in with a one-use Access Link sent to their email address.

When signed in, they can provide the requested information. Next and Previous buttons at the bottom of the screen allow movement between screens.

The navigation bar on the left side of the screen also lets the user move directly to the relevant sections.

After all of the relevant information is provided, they will navigate to the Finish screen. This includes a comment box so that the user can include a comment when submitting the information.

Clicking the Submit button will return the information to LEAP. 

When a request has been completed by a recipient, a notification will be created. Click the notification from the LEAP Notifications list, or the Request Details button on the matter.

The request will now have a status of Details Received. Click the request to review the submitted information. 

If some information was already present in the relevant tables on the matter, you can compare it with the information submitted by toggling the Compare to details in matter option to on. Information that does not match will be highlighted in red.

If the information requires major changes or is entirely incorrect, click Request Changes to send a new request for the recipient to complete. Otherwise, minor alterations can be done once the information is imported to the matter.

A comment can be added to clarify what needs to be altered.

If the information submitted is acceptable, click the Save to Matter button to import this to the relevant table or tables in your matter. This will also revoke the recipient's access to the Client Connect app.
