Unable to Attach a Document from a Matter to an Email

If you are unable to attach a document from a matter to an email, please refer to the below steps:

  1. Update LEAP to ensure you are using the latest version.

  2. Reset the connection between LEAP and Outlook.

  3. Adjust the LEAP Automation Options for Microsoft Outlook.

    • In Outlook, click the small arrow icon at the bottom right corner of the Save to Matter button.

    • The LEAP Automation Options for Microsoft Outlook window will open.

    • Under the General section, untick the following options:

      • Clean Contacts Folder at Startup

      • Clear LEAP Suggested Contacts at Startup

      • Use Outlook AddressBook

    • Click Clean Now and Clear Now to manually clear the contacts.

    • Click OK to save your changes.

    • Restart Outlook for the changes to take effect.

  4. Add LEAP to Your Antivirus and Firewall Exceptions List.

  5. Check environmental factors, such as device storage and uptime, as these may cause delays when sending emails or attaching documents. You will also need to ensure that you are using the correct supported version of Outlook as per LEAP's System Requirements.

These steps also help resolve Outlook syncing issues such as: LEAP tasks not marking as complete when marked complete in outlook.
