Defines a period for the report to: 

• Consider only Invoices and Payments Received dated within this selected period.
• Display the "Trade Receivable Balance" as of the chosen "End Date".

Inc Tax: Displays the total value of Invoices dated within the selected period, inclusive of tax. The amount is further broken down into: 

• Ex Tax: The tax-exclusive amount included in the 'Inc Tax'.
• Tax: The tax amount included in the 'Inc Tax'.

NOTE:

• When calculating these amounts, the report only considers Final Invoices that are dated within the selected period.
• The amounts are related to the total Invoice value, not the outstanding amount. 
• In the case of an Invoice that is both dated and reversed within the selected period, the report excludes it from the calculation. Conversely, the calculation incorporates an Invoice if it is dated within the selected period but reversed only after the 'End Date'.

Inc Tax: The total value of Invoice Adjustments processed for period, inclusive of tax. The amount is further broken down into:  

• Ex Tax: The tax-exclusive amount included in the 'Inc Tax'.
• Tax: The tax amount included in the 'Inc Tax'.

NOTE:

• When calculating the 'Adjustments', the report only considers Adjustments to Invoices that are dated within the selected period. This means that Adjustments dated after the 'End Date' are included if the underlying Invoice is dated within the selected period.

Provides a breakdown of the total Invoice amount into:

• Fees (GL Account Code): The total amount of Professional Fees (Time & Fees) billed, including tax-inclusive, tax-exclusive, and tax amounts.
• Expense Recoveries (GL Account Code): The total amount of Expense Recoveries billed, including tax-inclusive, tax-exclusive, and tax amounts.
• Expense (GL Account Code): The total amount of Expenses billed, including tax-inclusive, tax-exclusive, and tax amounts.

NOTE:

The GL Account Codes match your firm's General Ledger Account Codes settings located under Settings > Application Settings > Accounting > General Ledger.

• When calculating this amount, the report only considers Payments Received that are dated within the selected period.
• The amount incorporates Payments Received applied to Invoices and Payment Received applied as Retainer. 
• A Payment Received that is dated and reversed both within the selected period will be excluded from the calculation. Conversely, the calculation incorporates a Payment Received that is dated within the selected period but reversed after the 'End Date'.

Refers to the Accounts Receivable Balance as at the 'End Date', calculated as the total outstanding Invoice balance of all matters minus the total Retainer & Credits balance of all matters as at the 'End Date'.

NOTE:

This amount is expected to match the Accounts Receivable Report's Grand Total amount, when the 'At Date' of the Accounts Receivable Report matches the 'End Date' of this report and the Accounts Receivable Report's other filters are set as follows:

• Invoices: 'Printed (Sent) Final' only.
• Include Inactive Staff: Yes.
• Staff Responsible, Acting and Assisting, Originating Attorney, Billing Category: all set to 'All Selected'.
