Microsoft has recently made a change to how application permissions are handled within Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). This update affects how certain apps, including LEAP’s Microsoft Teams integration, connect to Microsoft services.
As a result, LEAP clients using the integration with Microsoft Teams may need to re-authorize their Microsoft permissions to continue using certain features within the Teams integration.
What You Need to Do
To ensure your Teams integration continues to work smoothly, you may need to reset your Microsoft permissions for LEAP. This can be done by having your Microsoft 365 administrator renew your permissions via the LEAP Application Settings.
Steps to Reset Permissions
Once permissions have been re-set, the LEAP & Teams connection should resume normal operation.
What Has Changed
Microsoft has implemented a new, more secure default for app consent settings in Entra ID. This change is part of Microsoft’s wider security initiative to limit which users and applications can access permissions.
Previously, many Microsoft tenants allowed users to grant certain permissions themselves. Under the new configuration, these specific permissions can now only be approved by an administrator.
