The LEAP Content team is comprised of attorneys and legal industry experts who are committed to product innovation and providing ongoing value to all LEAP users. We are constantly providing content that is designed to simplify the complexities of running your legal practice.
In keeping with this commitment, we are pleased to announce that we enhanced NJ Business & Corporate Law matter types to help you better manage your matters with table relations.
The table relations feature allows the Content team to set up a parent & child relationship between tables. This allows for more flexible matter types as it gives you control over the relationships between tables, making them easy to follow by visually grouping together to establish their connected relationship.
When tables are related, one table will become the parent table e.g., Plaintiff and tables that are related will become child tables underneath.
This will be visually represented on the matter type with the child tables appearing on a left indent from the parent.
These changes will help you to stay organized by giving you the following benefits:
The changes will be effective on or before March 1, 2023.
It is important to note that the changes will not affect your existing matters created in LEAP.
While you adjust to the changes, you can use the following existing LEAP tools to aid in the transition:
If the parent table has not been completed, the linked tables will not show even if they have been set as default tables for the matter type. Please ensure to complete the parent table to access the linked tables.
Tables can be added or removed as required by navigating to Edit Table Types, ensuring easy access to the tables you need for your matter.
You can also update existing matters to utilize table relations by selecting the Reset Tables button, located on the bottom left of the Edit Table Types window.
