Why did they make the new timesheet worse? Give me the old one back.

Samuel Abood (Customer) asked a question.

Why did they make the new timesheet worse? Give me the old one back.

Its slower and clunky compared to the previous version. It takes up 2/3rds of the screen when you try to snap it rather than half the screen like before. There is no way to change it so it only takes up half the screen.

Did the dev even use the timesheet ? or just wanted to push out the new one ?

I wish I could revert back to the old one, the new version is significantly worse, and I dont see anything different besides the slightly different layout of the data at the bottom and the font maybe.

Revert to the old time sheet.

Beware! It defaults to the rate for that attorney, NOT the rate that client is set up with. What a disaster. Now I guess putting in the rate for that specific client is a waste of time since the timesheet can't utilize that rate. So, in other words, it only utilizes one rate for each attorney, so if a client is at a different rate, then you have to remember that (for each of our 150 clients) and change the rate manually. Again, what a disaster. Leap needs to get some people who actually practice law on their team.

I was told by LEAP that the workaround for that is to enter the Matter No. in the Matter No. box (do not use the Matter Description or Client boxes) and then the correct rates will populate. We are generally not number people here, so this is definitely causing frustration. I was told that this has been sent up to the LEAP developers and have heard nothing since. Hope the workaround works for you!

Oh my gosh, I'm going to say again....Leap either wants to be the go-to for big firms or not. We have 150 clients. There is no possible way we can enter a number for the client. Unbelievable. But thank you so much for escalating this with them. I swear....they need actual practicing attorneys helping them with this stuff! It's like a bunch of IT people with their heads in the cloud (no pun intended! ha).

Thank you again for the response. We have so many different rates on so many different clients that I cannot even recall them all. This is a total disaster for us. I hope they fix it soon!

I'm sorry to ask, but can you please let me know how to go back to the old format? We really need to do that so that our rates are tracking with the client rates.

How did you go back to the old timesheet? Tech support told me no can do.

  • Hello Samuel,

Still having the same issues. A team member reached out and said they are working on what I still have issues with.

Not sure what kinks you are talking about, but nothing has been ironed out on my end.

Yes, please let us use the old timesheet. It was perfect. New one is extremely slow. I am now wasting LOTS OF TIME waiting for Timesheet to keep up with my typing, also dealing with it moving lines around and moving the curser from one box to another like some stupid shell game.
