    It's been a while since we set up LEDES billing but, first, you need to make sure it's enabled in LEAP. Go to Menu -> Marketplace. In the search bar, search for "E-Billing" and click enable if it isn't already. As for the Task/Activity and Expense codes, we had LEAP set those all up in when we first transitioned to LEAP - that was back in 2018, so I don't know if they automatically come up when you enable the E-Billing now or if you'll need to get LEAP involved. You can manually enter them yourself, if you go in to Menu -> Settings - > Application Settings -> Accounting -> Activity Codes -> Time & Fees -> New Activity Code or Expenses.

     

    The LEDES/E-Billing field only shows up on certain matter types, so you may need to edit your table types and search for it, if it doesn't appear in your matter.

     

    As for the actual billing component, make sure your invoices are in final form. Then depending on how many invoices you have to get into LEDES format, you can go into Menu -> Accounting -> E-Billing and set your date search parameters to pull up all the invoices you want to generate LEDES invoices for. Or, you can go into the individual matter. There's a LEDES Export on the toolbar for the "Expenses & Receivables" screen, but that will pull up every invoice ever generated for that matter. If you want just the latest invoice, the easiest thing is to right click on the desired invoice and select "LEDES Export".
