Anyone else unable to create appointments of tasks?

William Goode (Customer) asked a question.

Anyone else unable to create appointments of tasks?

I just had my installation last week and I am unable to create tasks or appointments in LEAP. The guy doing my installation said that this is an issue he has seen with other firms since the new update. I have a support case in but I would like to know if anyone else is dealing with this. It seems like a fairly big issue and I'm not going to transition my practice to LEAP if I'm unable to create tasks or appointments.

It's been exactly 2 weeks since I had my software installed and I still can't create tasks or appointments. I am told that the issue is being "investigated" but a practice management system without the ability to create tasks or appointments isn't really a practice management system. I am beyond frustrated at this point and feel like I made a huge mistake in switching from Clio to LEAP.

Well, today is day 15 without the ability to create tasks or appointments in LEAP with no solution in sight.

this is kind of unbelievable, but I spent about a week racking my head because tasks were not showing up on the cases some were frozen and you couldn’t even open or delete the task, the message said it couldn’t connect to the server. And they tell me in a chat they know there’s a systemic problem with creating and editing tasks. something so important you would think they would send some sort of bulletin. Now, when you go on a case, you can’t tell who’s working on what all you can see are your own tasks and maybe other peoples task and even if you could see him, you can’t even open them.

Here I am exactly 3 weeks post-installation and still unable to create tasks or appointments in LEAP. Support keeps trying different things to fix this issue but here I am 3 weeks later and still paying for software that is completely useless to me. Switching from Clio to LEAP has been a monumental mistake.

Well, here we are 4 weeks post-installation and I'm still unable to create tasks or appointments in LEAP. I have a support session scheduled for today to see if they can fix this issue that I have had since day 1. What exactly am I paying for here? At this point, even if the issue is fixed, how can I trust a company that cannot solve an issue that affects basic functionality after one month? Thankfully, I am still using Clio to manage my practice and didn't transfer all of my open files to LEAP.

they know its a problem and they have their heads in the sand terrible

  • We are having the same problem also. Anyone have a solution or work around? This is not acceptable for a law firm to not be able to calendar tasks that have deadlines!

    • William Goode (Customer)

I have this problem whether I am attempting to add tasks in LEAP desktop, LEAP 365 or the mobile app so it must be related to the link between LEAP and Office 365. I don't know of any solution and in 4 weeks of working with various levels of LEAP support no solutions have been found.

  • William Goode (Customer)

Today LEAP told me that this is a known issue that they are working on a solution for. I can't tell you how many hours I have wasted on the phone with tech support trying to find a solution to this problem when the problem was on LEAP's end the entire time.
