Does changing a staff member's default billing rate effect all open cases?

A staff member's billing rate has recently increased. All previously opened matters prior to the change should still be billed at their previous rate. If I change their default billing rate, does it effect all of their open matters? Just new time entries? Or will it just be changed for all new matters that get opened after the new rate is saved?

    Thank you for using our community site. The change in billing rate will affect new entries going forward and only entries will stay in tact.
