Vicki Bradley (Customer) asked a question.
Clients that have funds in their retainer are not receiving invoices when batch billing. Once their retainer has been depleted, their email address and invoice will show in the batch billing, but if there are retainer funds available, there email/invoice doesn't appear in the batch. Clients want to see where their retainer funds are being applied from the start of the case, and are not happy when they learn the retainer has been used and they haven't received any invoices. There has to be a better way, or a work-around to make sure every client that is being invoiced gets a copy of their bill, regardless of their retainer balance.

Thank you for reaching out to us here on our community page. We have created a support ticket with the helpdesk and a technician will be reaching out shortly.
In the Invoice Mailing window, change the "Payment Status" from Open to Paid.
Thank you, Taylor. Unfortunately, that didn't work. The client did show up in the list of invoices to send, but when I clicked email invoice, nothing goes out and there is no record of an email being sent in my sent folder, or in the client's Leap folder. Leap said only invoices with a balance due will email.
That is odd. I email invoices with no balance due every month so that cannot be accurate unless we have something set up differently. Does your firm utilize LawPay/RapidPay?
We do use LawPay/RapidPay. It's very odd. Is your invoice status set to Final/Sent? There has to be something causing this. For your invoices that do not have a balance due, do they have remaining funds in trust?
Yeah. I have no idea why they wouldn't email unless there isn't an email address attached to the invoice. Do you have the correct email template selected on the Invoice Mailing window?
I've attached a redacted invoice showing how ours email when there is a $0.00 balance due but there are retainer funds left.
