Use of LEAP as a HotDocs data source or conversion of HotDocs templates to LEAP forms and templates
I have decades of work in creating HotDocs templates and connecting Time Matters as a data source. Now that Time Matters is going away, our firm has moved to LEAP. It seems to me I have two choices at this point:
1. Find a way to connect LEAP as a data source for all of my HotDocs templates, or
2. Convert all of my HotDocs templates into LEAP forms and templates.
The former certainly seems easier, as the latter would be extremely time consuming and reinventing the wheel.
Does anyone out there have any experience or suggestions?

LEAP data can only be used as a data source for documents, forms and templates inside of LEAP. You can indeed convert all of your HotDocs templates into LEAP forms and templates.
If I can get export data from LEAP to Excel, I can then use the Excel file for importing data into Hot Docs. I found a FAQ about what if the user stops using LEAP whether can he get his data.
"LEAP never deletes your data unless specifically requested in writing. However, if you terminate your agreement, you will no longer have access to LEAP, and it is your responsibility to extract your data from if you wish to do so. Extracting data from LEAP is easier than from most systems. You or your new provider can extract reports using Microsoft Excel. You can also either email or copy and paste all documents out of a matter. You will be allowed 30 days from the date of termination to arrange this." (Emphasis supplied.)
Even though it is possible to recode all the Hot Docs templates in LEAP, that is just too voluminous to be practical. Can you tell me about the exporting to Excel or put me in touch with someone who can talk detail or perhaps there is another resource you know off? Thanks.
