why does leap save files in a folder named leap desktop?

Caryl Johnson (Customer) asked a question.

why does leap save files in a folder named leap desktop?

I have re-created many documents that I thought were saved correctly in the matter number only to find that the files were not there. Only recently I discovered that there is a leap/desktop folder and all of the missing documents were there. Why is this and do I need to have my settings changed?

I think the answer should be posted here. My understanding is the LEAP is always saving documents on the C drive in the "Desktop" Folder. When you lose documents, they are often there. A great way to find them is open your file explorer. There is a list of documents, and you can see many of the LEAP documents that you were working on.
