Hi @John S. Groarke (Customer),
Thank you for posting on LEAP Community Discussions.
I am unsure by what you are referring to specifically when you mention "firm financials" so please correct me if I misunderstand.
In saying that, access to firm/application settings can be enabled or disabled via the staff admin option shown in the image below. With this disabled staff members will not be able to access the LEAP Application settings page.
To find this follow the steps below,
Furthermore, within this same Access and Permissions tab, further individual staff permissions/restrictions can be made via the edit staff security button shown in the image below.
Let us know if you require further assistance.
Best regards,
Sebastian.

missed the question- I am talking about the operating account tab. Why can’t that be restricted to you responsible accounting or billing team?
in my opinion your receptionist shouldn’t have access to client financials in the operating account
maybe you can add some user level control restriction to operating account?

Hi @John S. Groarke (Customer),
Thank you for the clarification, at this time only the following restrictions are available for the operating tab (see image below).
Outside of the options shown above, you could restrict staff access to matters following the steps below.
Furthermore, you may wish to create a post on our idea hub for discussion and consideration amongst other users and our product team.
Best regards,
Sebastian.

Thank you. I do not think any of your suggestion solve the problem. Does it make sense to LEAP developers that a file clerk that responsibility is to scan mail and documents should have access to what the firm bills its clients and what they've been paid? I hope I am not the first one to raise this issue. But is there anyway I can speak with someone who develops or can program this change? If so I can provide my contact number and email.

Hi @John S. Groarke (Customer),
I would suggest raising this as a suggestion within the Ideas hub here. This allows other users to discuss and vote on issues, then our product team take the ideas into consideration for future updates of LEAP.
Regards,
Sebastian.

Hi John!
Thank you for reaching out to us here. There are some options in place already to restrict access to some items in the operating account area. That can be accessed here: Menu > Settings > Application Settings > Firm > Members > click on the user profile > access and permissions > edit security details ( office transactions and general trust).
Kind regards,
Lori
