Hi @John Heutsche (Customer),
Thank you for posting on LEAP Community Discussions.
The matter status is based on the matter type and the stage of completion in the calendar and tasks tab. For more information on matter statuses and changing statuses check this article here.

Best regards,

This answer does not really help, as the instructions, if followed, do not work. My status indicator in the Matter List rarely changes from "In Progress," except in some cases where a complaint has been filed. When I create events in the Calendar Task tab and mark them with dates, they do not show up with that status in the Matter List. It simply doesn't work for me as advertised. What could be a really useful feature is really distorted because of its lack of flexibility.

I figured out a work around if anyone is still having trouble with this issue. Go to the Calendar and Tasks Tab and open up the "File Complete" task. Change the date to something way out in the future. For example I changed the matter status from File Complete to In Progress by using the date 01/01/2320. Hope this helps!

You no longer have to select a date in the future. You can clear the complete date under "Critical Dates & Calendar Items" and the file will be back in "
