LEAP has an extensive library of Forms and Templates. You can also add your own templates to the library.

Create Your Own Template
Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click Forms & Templates.
The Forms & Templates window will open.
Make sure you're on the Browse tab.
Navigate to the location where you would like to save the template.
Right-click on the right-hand side of the Forms & Templates window then select New > Word or Excel Template.
Select the Document Type and Recipient.
Click to edit heading
All newly created templates are based on the selected Document Type. For more information regarding creating new or modifying an existing Document Type, click here.
You can also duplicate an existing template and modify it to create your own custom template if you prefer not to start from scratch. For more details, refer to Modifying an Existing Template.
Click OK.
A new document will open in Microsoft Word.
Enter the contents of your template.
Insert fields into your template to automate the information entered on the matter.
Click Save & Close or Rename & Close to name the newly created template.
Create an Email Template
Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click Forms & Templates.
The Forms & Templates window will open.
Make sure you're on the Browse tab.
Navigate to the location where you would like to save the template.
Right-click on the right-hand side of the Forms & Templates window then select New > Outlook Template.
Select the Recipient.
Click OK.
A new blank email will open in Microsoft Outlook.
Enter the contents in the Subject and Body sections of the email.
Under the Message tab, click Insert from the LEAP section.
The Insert Field pane will open on the right-hand side of the email.
Insert fields into your template to automate the information entered on the matter.
Click Save & Close.
Enter the name of the newly created Outlook template.
Import a Template
Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click Forms & Templates.
The Forms & Templates window will open.
Make sure you're on the Browse tab.
Navigate to the location where you would like to import the template.
Right-click on the right-hand side of the Forms & Templates window then select Import Template.
The Import File dialog will open in a new window.
Select the template from your computer.
Click Open.
Click to edit heading
You can also drag and drop to import your templates from your computer.
Select your templates from your computer and drag and drop them into Forms & Templates window.
Delete a Template
Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click Forms & Templates.
The Forms & Templates window will open.
Right-click the template then select Delete.
Enter a reason for deleting the template then click OK.
Restore a Deleted Template
Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click Forms & Templates.
The Forms & Templates window will open.
Click then select Show Deleted Templates.
All deleted templates are listed in red.
Right-click the deleted template then select Undelete.
Click Yes.

If you are missing precedents, please check if they have been deleted by selecting the Show Deleted Precedents option.
How to Change or Remove the Subject Line in Letters and Emails in LEAP
To customize or remove the subject line (Re line) in your correspondence:
Open LEAP and navigate to the relevant Matter.
Under the Details & Correspondence section, right-click on Matter Details.
Select the Matter Title tab.
Uncheck the box labeled "Use Default".
You can either:
Leave the Re line blank, or
Enter custom text to appear as the subject in your letters or emails.
There are two editable sections:
Letter to Clients
Letter to Other Parties
Depending on whether you are sending correspondence to a client or an external party, LEAP will use the content from the relevant section.

This feature is only available when using Microsoft Office Desktop.
Open the matter.
Make sure you're on the Details & Correspondence tab.
Click Forms & Templates under Actions to open the Forms & Templates window.
Make sure you're on the Forms & Templates tab.
Click .
The New Template will open on the right-hand side of the window.
Select the Document Type and Recipient.
Toggle Select None to On if you do not wish to select a Recipient.
Click to edit heading

You can also modify existing templates if you do not wish to create a new one. For more information, see Modifying an Existing Template.
Click Create.
